If you want strong wheels get Forged Monoblock Volks aka TE, CE, RE.

I hit something hard in the road (still not sure what it was), and VERY slightly bent one of my Rays wheels this weekend. I've been checking tire pressure frequently to make sure it's not leaking slowly. Sucks!

I'll probably end up taking all four in to a wheel shop and get them totally refinished and powder coated a custom color soon. Just more $$$ down the drain...

Even RAYS casting is pretty strong. Considering your wheels aren't forged, I think the damage would've been even worse if it wasn't a RAYS wheel.

I heard volks will outlast a cockroach, even after a nuke blast.

Work wheels are not TRUE forged. Work wheels are definitely very strong as a cast wheel but a cast structure is not as strong as a forged. The great thing about Work wheels are the variety of fitments that are available and is very customizable.

I love my sf-challenges. I had them for about 3 yrs now. They are very durable. I've hit a few big potholes over the years. The finish is holding up pretty good... Besides the small nicks and scratches on the polish lips...my rims look close to brand new. But then again, no matter how careful you are...you will get small nicks and scratches on ANY polish lip.

Yeah... the reason I asked is because I saw one of my friends set of 4 Maya rims (that he had bought for over $5000) and he had them taken off his Benz because the outer rims were so badly bent that the tires could not hold pressure. He said his wife drove around in that car without consideration of potholes and such. Just wondering if Volks would have the same problem... but then of course, if they were put up to the same abuse, they would be probably in the same condition. =P

Strongest wheels known to man. You know who makes the tiles for the space shuttle. Yep. Volk.
