Question R1 Racing Rims and toyo T1-R - A Good Deal?

What's everyones opinion on the R1 Racing drift rims in Hyper Gloss? (Not sure what I think about that huge lip, though) I have been over due on tires since October right before I stored my Z. I think I might go with the R1 Racing drift rims with the Toyo T1-R's from wheelsnext.com. I think the price is alright, but I need opinions!!! Look, cost, Tire options, and size.

Should I go 18's or 19's? ? And what size. I know just about every post here asked "duh how wide can I go?" But really what are the specs if my Z is stock and not lowered.

Check out the picture, which of the three options should I go with if any.

#3. You really need to find the offset information before ordering though. If I was looking for budget wheels I would look at Axis, Stern, and Ruff as well. At least you know you can find proper offsets in those brands.

http://blog.wheelsnext.com/index.cfm...an-350Z-Wheels

Looks like +20 front and +25 rear which is decent. I think it looks OK but I don't really know much about the brand. The tire and size looks good, no issues there.

Just because he is looking at a brand that is not Volk, Rays, etc, don't shoot hime down. He may not want the same wheels everyone and their mom has. If I'm not mistaken several members in our gallery have what I consider "budget" wheels, and their rides look great.

This is why I am still OEM with the anniversary edition wheels. I don't want the same wheels everyone else has.

I'd say for 2,200+ for rims and tires, go with something else. R1 is something I've seen people put on their cars, but for that price, you could go with enkei or even motegi tracks.

As for wheelsnext, I've heard from other boards that that place doesn't have a good reputation. If you really want the r1, I think there's a vendor on here that sells them

Not only that but the tire width sucks.

Ok here we go. On the Z it's a very normal practice to run staggered tires not just wheels.

I would get at least a 275 in the rear. If you want to save some money it'll be cheaper if you purchased 18" wheels and tires all around

If your gonna go staggered at least go 9" in the back.

so a 8" and 9" in the back or 8.5" and a 9.5 and or a 9.5" all the way around with wider tires out back or 9" and 10" or 9.5" and 10.5"

The wider the wheel the more money it's going to cost but if you go with a bigger wheel it's gonna cost more for tires and the wheel itself.

Cheaper wheel Brands...... Work, Enkei, Wedsport, Trust, JIC and 5zigen.

Work and Wedsports each have an expensive wheel line but they make cheap wheels also.

Don't know if you want 18s or 19s? How about 18s front, 19s rear??
The '07 Grand Touring and NISMO are doing it.

I've done it on my '03 Enthusiast.

How is buying a low quality and bad fitment R-1 knockoff of the PIAA SuperRozza "being different?"
