yeah, it is a +18 in the rear, sorry.

I have a thread with sizes listed if you want to search for it but sizes are 255/40/17, 275/35/18

I rub in the front because it's soo low and I don't think I have enough camber in the front, but the rear is fine. I should be lowering it more this weekend I think so we will see.

I'm a big Weds Kranze fan. No 350Z pics but Here is my old SC400 with Kranze Cerberus II and my Acura RL with Kranze Rapier.

That's 18x8 all around? Stock suspension?

Tirerack (or at least one person from there) told me that the SA-70's were being discontinued from production :-(

Anyone else hear this?

Im looking at a 32mm offset for the rears. 18x10. I want a deep concave. Is this the right offset for that? I want to get some rear wheels and tires but no nothing about offsets.

no no no. the lower offset the better for concavity. you want the +18 or lower 18x10.. If you look at Wed's site you can see the 'face' offered for the offsets. RR face is the deepest. FF is the flattest.

http://www.weds.co.jp/products/wedssport/sa70.html

18x10 +32 gives you: R face
18x10 +18 gives you: RR face

if youa re thinking of +32 because that is what tirerack offers, they suck call them and give them the specific wheel you are looking for and they can help you out. The +20 gives you enough room to run a substantial tire. Tire rack also has them on clearance... if they have any left they are SUPER cheap.

if you want concave these are your sizes:

18x9 +20 RR face
18x10 +18 RR face

This explains it as good as anything I think. The answer is no, you'll have a deeper concave with the +20 than with the +32.

I was going to tell you the same thing about the RR face on the +20. The +32 is a better choice for the car IMO, but not a better look. I don't want to stand behind the back of my car and have the inside of my rear wheels farther apart...like a low rider. Too many Z's look good from all angles...but then from the rear the wheels are spaced out. I'm afraid :-( Lol. It's only a 1/2" difference.....I know....so that's 1/2" per side....which means my wheels will be only 1" farther apart when looking at the car from the rear. But for some reason, that makes a difference to me.

I would run 245/40 and 275/40 tires on these as well....I was as close to factory diameters on the car...35 series are too small. Speedo and mileage will be off. I can't do that.

I love these wheels.....the RR face is AWESOME....I just fear the offset of +20. I don't know....I've ran +22 on 10.5" Volks before...but that's not the same thing.

What made up my mind is when Tirerack told me that these were discontinued. So if that's the case...and more than one of us has heard it....i'm moving on with my wheel selection for something else :-(

Why did that make up your mind? I took that as a positive. The less of these wheels out there the better. Not to compare, but look how in demand the Volk LE 37's are, just because they're discontinued. If like them get them, see if you can be different and find the BLC finished ones.

Also, I'm running the +18 +20 offsets with the tires you mentioned, with Tein S-techs with the springmounts cut. I get very minimal rubbing only under hard cornering. Rolling my fenders would fix that no problem.

I know you can always order them from Aspec... they just come from Japan and take forever. and yeah, the lower profile tires aren't for everyone. I chose to do it, but don't reccommend it.

and wider apart? you are widening the wheel by 2 inches from stock, and increasing the tire width normally by 50mm... here is my car:

wide looks amazing. so much more aggressive. and look at that... you can't even see the inside of the tire

If I bend or damage a wheel for any reason.......I'm screwed. I don't like to have things simply because they're rare or hard to find or discontinued....some people get off on it though. I could care less.

I had a set of LE37T's......haha......they keep discontinuing them.....over and over it seems.....lol. I had 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 +22 offset all around on 255/35 and 275/35.....no rubbing at all of course.

I agree! Wide DOES look better. But your car is also slammed....low enough to where the gap between the rear tires / / \ \ can barely even be seen. My friend had +20 on some 9.5" wide rims....and his car looked funny from the rear because of the space between the rear wheels looked like this:
/ / \ \ Yeah, they were flush with the fender...but from the back it just looked like a whole lot more wheel/tire was missing. Almost as if it was a trick or illusion. From the side of the car he looks like he's running some fat azz tires....but when you walk around back it's like.....what?

I'm trying to fight this.....lol.......I LOVE the look of your car so FN much it's not even funny. But I realize it's also slammed, and w/o the slam on it the wheels might stick out just a hair or whatever. Also I prefer larger sidewall for my car.....but that's just my car.

+25ish on a 10" wheel would be more my taste I guess....at least at the wheel phase I'm going through right now.

So who else (besides Gruppe-S) sells Wedsport SA-70's? I mean, if they're discontinued then we should only be able to buy what's in stock? Or maybe just the gunmetal and bronze are discontinued.

Thanks for your replies guys....not trying to stir anything up, just stating of few of my worries/fears of certain offsets/widths and tire sizes. There is no such thing as a "right" way to do it I guess.......since this is all opinion based....just like the "best sounding exhaust".....lol.....no such thing :-)

well, that's cause it was a 9.5 +20!!! you are getting another inch closer!!

and I know you don't want to be beaten with this, but the offsets really are not agressive.

also note: in that picture I was running my old setup: 19x10.5 +20 275/35 dropped 1 1/2 inch less than I am now!

most guys with Z's run 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +22... you are losing 1/2 inch per rim and 2mm... that is 15mm farther inboard per side... my front tire is tucked and it could stand to be out another 5-10mm IMO, with it still being far inside the wheel well. the rear is the same deal, it's actually farther in than my last set (19x10.5 +20). TRUST ME.

but yeah, gruppeS was OK, but Logan@Aspec has the hookup and much better pricing. if tire rack was not liquidating the rims and offered free mount/balance, in the sizes I wanted (logan did not have the front sizing I needed) Logan would have had my business. talk to him.

(note: my bumper is not burnt... it wipes off )

the way I understood it is Tirerack is stopping carrying this rim... if weds is I don't know offhand. I do know Logan was able to order the rims I needed from Japan though.

Thanks......I might contact Aspec and see what I find out.

I specifically asked my Tirerack contact if just "they" were discontinuing them or if Wedsport was discontinuing them...and he said Wedsport. But that's just one person, but I wouldn't think he'd lie of course.

Gunmetal looks so good on silver.......I wish I still had my Chrome Silver Z...but I have a Silverstone now and gunmetal just kind of washes itself out.

I have bronze right now....it's much darker than the bronze on the SA-70's though...looks better to me. I'm ready for a change though. So there's another issue I'd have if I decided on these and could actually order them.

I would do SBC if I could have gotten them in the same time frame. looks cool as hell.

but I am jealous... Silverstone can handle so many more colors than Chrome Silver can. you can run bronze and gold and white and they all look awesome.

but black looks better on Chrome Silver
