Largest tire size for my wheels??
Planning my FI build and looking to get 500+ rwhp so I know I will need better grip. Most interested in the Toyo Proxes R888's from what I've read.
Current set-up is:
Volk Racing SF Challenge Mercury Silver
front: 19 x 8.5 + 21 offset
rear: 19 x 9.5 + 23 offset
Toyo Proxes T1-R
front: 245/35/19
rear: 275/35/19
I really like the SF Challenge look and the offsets are perfect. I've thought about getting new rims but with the expense of the FI build I would like to keep these for now if I can fit wider tires.
I checked the R888 chart but there isn't much available for my rims. http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/30029.pdf
What would be the widest and best grip streetable tires I could run? It is primarily a DD car along with weekend fun and limited track time. The sun is usually out so I'm not too worried about wet weather traction.
I may just sell my current set-up and go with the R888's 275/35/18 front and 295/30/19 rear but damn that is going to get expensive since Ill have to buy new Volk's as well 18x9 +21 and 19x10.5 +28 based on this chart: http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/r..._spec.jpga.gif Any reason to run the 18x10 +21 in front instead of the 9"?
I think that would be similar to JetPilots set-up.....Jet if you could chime in here I would appreciate it. I just cant keep up with what you are currently running.
I have the Nismo suspension and my camber is approximately -1.5 front and -2.5 rear.
Am I thinking through this properly?
Do I have the offsets right?
I know I will have to roll the fenders.
Thanks for the help.....and sorry for the long post.

You can keep your 19" Volk's for the street and go with something cheap like the Enkei RP03's in 18X9" +18 front, and 18X10 +22 rear for $1300. Then you can get R888's in a 305/35/18 rear and a 275/35/18 front. The RP03's are attractive, light, and strong.
Your camber is way off. For the track you should run something like -2.5 in the front and -2.0 in the rear.
Your offsets now are ok. As you get wider in tire size you have to nail the offset. The Enkei's will be as aggressive as you want to go or you will rub on the outside.

Thanks JET. You make it sound so simple. I will have to look up those options and I will fix the camber.
If I just want to run the SF Challenge (Ill purchase new ones) with the R888's can you please tell me the correct sizes to make it all work.

The 265/35/18 and 295/30/19 will fit with rolled rear quarter lips and about 2 degrees negative camber. The front will work with about -1.5 negative cmaber. This is all dependant on how low your ride height is. Mine is pretty low.

ok, so 265 in front instead of 275 (referring to my original post)
Im only about 1" lowered with the Nismo suspension.
But which Volk SF Challenge wheels would you wrap those R888's around.....offsets and all please.

By the way, I really appreciate the help.

I looked at some more options. The Five Axis wheels are awesome and the bronze would be perfect on my black ZR. I have no clue about the offsets they list.
Is there an S5:F that would work with those R888's?
