Default Just got New Volk's! Looking for tires...

Hey guys, just got my Gold 19inch Volk SF Challenge. 19x9.5 28 offset and 19x10.5 23 offset. My first question is what do you think of these offsets? Second question, I am looking for tires that deliver performance, but don't waste tread massively fast either. And won't kill me in the rain. I've read a lot about Toyo T1r's. What do you guys think about these tires? also should I go 245-35 Front and 285-35 Rear? THANX!!!

I like those sizes/offsets. Will be ever so slightly tucked and will not cause you any problems as far as rubbing goes. I have the T1R's and so far I like them, although they are getting noisy after about 15k miles of use. Not sure about tread life because I haven't taken a look at the inner edge (wear from slightly negative camber).

The gold sf challenges are one of my favorite wheels of all time. Enjoy them!

kdw's are a better tire than the toyos in my opinion. I've owned both and prefer the performance and life of the kdw's better

Dude. You are in luck. Please call Andre at the wheels botique tomorrow.
His pricing on installed Toyo T1rs is ridic. Under $1k. Yup, mounted and
balanced. They work on some very high-end cars, and treat everyone well.
It will take a day to get the tires, and he will have you in and out in half
an hour. He is located at the location behind the old subaru dealership on
bird. Tell him the guy with the red Z on meisters sent you. Never hurts.
Their office phone is 786-249-0127

You will be happy. I have heard of using painters tape on those fancy lips
just in case.

Great wheels. Not the best offsets available, but not bad. I'd suggest 15mm spacers front and 10mm spacers rear.

You really think I need spacers? P.S. 275 vs. 285 for rear tires. Which should I choose?

255/35 f 295/30 r MIN and if you do spacers do 5mm and you'll be about perfect, may have to roll the rear fenders with a 295, but you'll be way happy with it. Unless you want major tread them do 265/35f and 305/30r that would be PIMP

Toyo t1r's suck major *** BTW, soft sidewall and not very good traction. You'll be much happier with KDW2's and you'll stay just above the price of the Toyo.

It seems to be the best tire avaliable. Not loud like the BFG KDW that my friend has, amazing traction in the dry, and very good traction in the wet. Wet traction is so good that it makes me want to push the car in the rain. These tires made such an impact on the cars handling its unbeliveable. They made 3x the difference in cornering speeds compared with my coilovers and make teh car feel very stable at very high speeds. Only downfall seems to be the pricetag but its one that I am willing to pay for this incrediable all around performance. Can't wait for my next set where im going to run a 265 on the front. I recommend this tire 200% and if you purchase it you will be so happy you will forget how much you spent on them. Good luck

ive had 28 offset front and 21 offset front on the challenges. 28 tucks in a lil bit and 21 sits flush. as for tires u can go 245 or 255 on the front. the rear if u go 285/35/19 you will rub if u are lowered. 275's wont rub so its up to you. i went with 285's and rolled my rear fenders
