it probably just lost air pressure over time. (go to a tire shop and they'll confirm this) The only time i've seen **** really go south is shocks. My old bmw I took off my stock shocks at 20k and at 90k when I sold the car I wanted to put them back on and they were COMPLETELY shot, no pressure nothing.

dont forget to rotate the air in your tires..

+1 the oxygen will naturally rise (when not in motion) throwing the balance off of the wheel. You can rotate the air or rebalance the tire and it will be fine.
