I'm looking at running 225/50/18 tires all around on 18x8/8.5 350z Enthusiast rims. Are these rim widths within range for 225 width tires? If the rims are too wide for such tires, I'm also considering 245/45/18 tires. These are going on a G35x so I cannot use staggered tires.

 

...I would probably look into going 245/40/18.

 

245/40/18 tires are a little over 2% smaller than my stock tires, which are 215/55/17. If I go with 245 tires, they will be 45 series.

 

Just out of curiosity why not?

 

AWD , so he doesnt destroy the center differential. Second would be , so his VDC doesnt flip out.

 

8.0 inch wheel - 225 mm tire
8.5 inch wheel - 245 mm tire

So a 235 mm tire would be a good compromise.
