Sometimes Jim, folk should minimize the wheel weight because it really has an impact on how the car performs. Many cars it doesn't but on a Z it does.

i guess my questions are, and i asked in another thread;

1 - has anyone actually tested stock wheels vs lightweight racing wheels vs heavier wheels?

2 - where can these numbers be found?

honestly, i understand the whole thing with rotational mass and all, but i just don't see how a few extra pounds can slow a car down THAT much. i really think that the performance differences are negligable.

i could be wrong, but i think this is ricer logic in a way. kind of like the whole heatsoak thing. i mean, unless people are stripping their cars out, replacing body panels with CF, replacing glass with plexiglass and all that crazy stuff......who cares about a few extra pounds? it's one thing for a track *****, but a street car? come on..........

i think im gonna agree wit jim on this one..... im not heading to the track anytime soon and plus i live in nyc anybody whose been here knows that the roads and streets are horrible to try and go over 80 even on the highway. also my cuzin lived in japan for 5 yrs and said people over there could care less about the weight of the wheels becuz they replace the whole shell of the car with carbon fiber and if i was worried about weight i woulda got a rx7 lol so i think i got my answer thanks guys..... Ill post pictures up as soon as i get them

like i always say about TSW wheels

"they are 1990's looking wheels with big lips." they are horrible. I would rather ride stock wheels with spacers than ride any TSW wheels.
