Curb rash repair/improvement?

Curb rash repair/improvement?
Within a month, my wife found a curb at the bank. She's pretty bummed.
Does anyone know if there is any way to "improve" this? Are these wheels polished and clearcoated or are the just painted? Does light buffing with a Dremel tool and touching up with paint work well? Any other thoughts?
Anyone have a front wheel they want to sell cheap? This is off a 2008.
