Default winter tires

i have a track version and was wondering what all you full time z drivers in the eastern states are doing for the winter? i got 17" 350z wheels from ebay and was hoping for some help nissan said the 17's would fit over the brmbos but didn't recommend it why?

dunno why the didnt reccomend it..but anyway..i am keeping my 17"s to use in the snow (i will be buying blizzaks)

19"s are only for nice weather

impooooooooosible to drive on the east coast in this car w/o winter tires (in teh winter of course)

I was told by Nissan in Calgary that the regular 17" rim will not fit over the track brakes. You have to have sufficient offset to clear the brembo.

Just looking at it seems to make sense. Does any track model users have try to do it.

I also have read in one of the posts that the spare wouldn't fit either. I wonder if this is true???
