Default Quick question about mounting the pressure sensors.

So i've had my GT-C's sitting in my office for a while now cause i cant really come up with a good way to mount the sensors. I dont trust my self to make a band like one member did, as with my luck i would screw it all up.

My question is, does anyone have any premade bands? Like what do the HRE guys, discount tire, and others use. I spoke with Audra at StreetSports and she said they epoxied the sensors to one set of GT-C's. I'd rather not do that just incase i want to get different wheels down the line. If anyone has any info or ideas, i will forever be in your debt. Or at least for a couple of days. Thanks!

HRE sells the banding kit. Try hrewheels.com and tell them the size wheels you have.

HREWheelMaker (BobH.) also posted the instructions for using the HRE bands........try the search function.

Thanks, i sent them an email about the bands. If not i guess i can just try to make my own. I'm still waiting on the tires, but they should be here by Monday or Tuesday. Thanks again.

Put them on without the sensors, spend 9 bucks at per boys and get a tire pressure gauge.

It's a pretty useless function. The 5 cars you had before the Z didn't have it so who cares.

I was thinking about that.. Till i just took a trip to Vancouver B.C., and on the way there, in the middle of nowhere Washington, i some how picked up a 6" bolt in my tire. As i was driving the tire pressure sensor started beeping at me, it fliped over and i watched the tire pressure go down. So i pulled over, and was able to save the tire. If i had not had the sensor, i would have drivin untill it was really flat and i felt it. It probably would have distroyed the tire and i would have been able to patch it. I was going to buy a new tire at the closest town, but they didnt have anything in the size i needed. The closest tire was back in Coeur 'd Alene, ID. Where i had come from, which was about a 3 hour drive back, on the stupid doughnut tire. I was pretty happy i had the sensor.

So thats why im trying to keep the sensors if i can, all it took was that one time for me to find out how usefully they are.
