Default Low Tire pressure dash light *help

So I just recieved new rims from a vendor here and I put them on about a month ago. But frequently these days Low tire pressure dash light lights up when I am on the freeway(not local). The first time it happened to me I checked my tires and my rear right one was low(around 16) so I filled it up to 35 ish just like the other ones. However I was coming back home today from LA to Irvine, on the freeway this popped up again and now I am wondering what the problem is. I checked the pressure when I got home but they were all around 35.

Anyone having such problem after getting aftermarket rims?
(I dont have TPMS installed on my new rims)

thanks in advance guys

sam

so If I dont have tpms installed on my new rims, they will throw "low tire pressure dash light" whenever they want to?

In that case I just have to check my tire pressure frequently.

any input guys?

You'd have to take it to the shop, and have them re-mount the tires/install the TPMS. What happened to the TPMS that was on your old/stock wheels?

Hmm I have a few sets of aftermarket wheels / tires and none of them have TPMS installed. Whenever I have those wheels on the light comes on and blinks as soon as I turn the car on, then after 30 seconds or so it stays on solid. At first it was annoying, now I'm used to it. If it always blinked I would have to get TPMS to make it go away, but I can deal with the steady glow. Mine is a 2006 - maybe the earlier years have some sort of delay built in?

I failed because I didn't install my tpms? I respect your comment but I created this thread for me to clarify things not asking if I failed or not. You definitely failed to answer my question.

Your tps' are not installed, which is why the warning light is on. Buy new tps', and you still fail.

Does anyone have a picture of the TPMS? is it something that locks onto the valve stem?
