tires opinions
hello,
how do you find the current stock tires in terms of handling? can it still be used decently on autoX events or should it be replaced if I want to stay competitive? I'm thinking of getting a set of Falken Azenis Sports or Kumho Ecsta MX.

I've run 5 autocrosses so far w/ the stock Bridgestone Potenza RE040 18" tires and I've seen and spoken at length to 2 other guys that have been running their Z's and we've all come to a unanimous conclusion:
"The RE040's really BLOW!!!"
I think a lot of guys on this forum will say the same thing. The tires are definatley the weakest link in this car as far as performance.

Definitely go with Azenis or maybe even Kumho Ecsta's if you can afford a second set of wheels.
Azenis would be much much better and you'll still get some good miles out of them.
I've got 3 performance 18" wheels I'll sell you for $350 shipped, you'd only need a 4th. I'd recommend going 265/35's all around, this will help cure some of the understeer.
