i have a set of wheels that are 225/45/18 on the fronts and 245/45/18 on the rears. what would happen if say i used 225 or 245 all around? or even 235 all around. these would be for winter tires.

...what is the actual width of the wheels? You gave us your current tire specs which won't help us offer any insight as to if your suggested setup will work.

 

i'm not sure what the wheel specs are. they are the stock 18" "Nissan" rims that came with my 2003 350Z. i believe its 18x8 f and 18x8.5 R?

i found the specs page of the tires that it gives the rim size that a 225/45/18, 245/45/18 would fit and they all seem to fit around 7.5"-9" rims. so based on the stock 18"s that came with my 350z, the question i have is what is the how would the peformance be affected by this? besides the odometer may read differently ie too fast/slow (read somewhere it should be withing 3" of the orginal)

keep in mind that it's for winter tires so there won't be heavy/fast driving involved.

 

Same size tires all around with VDC? Not recommended.

 

car only has TCS no VDC
