Does anyone have a paint code for gunmetal? Getting my wheels powdercoated and would like the volk titanium gunmetal finish or anything close to it.

 

Wheel manufactures do not disseminate paint codes. Find a vehicle the color that you like. There you go.

 

I am just finish powder coat my rims gunmetal color.

I would like to share some experience.
!!!!! Make sure that they have the gunmetal color !!!!!!

Here what happened to me, we agree to powder coat Gunmetal Gray < like Nismo V3 > at 150 per rim < so 600 for all rims >. After I drop the car for one day, they call me and says they dont have the color that I want.

So, they offered me to paint Gunmetal gray ,just the face of the rims for 150 < same price >.

Or they will paint Gunmetal gray and CLEAR powder coat on it. But since they have to paint twice so it have to be 225 per rims !!!!!! < 900 for 4 rims >

DAMN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since I drop the car there already , and Z is the only car that I have. What ever !!!! Do it !!!! 225 .


But the problem is not only increased in price of paint.
One day before the due date , they called me and tell me that they painted gunmetal and Clear powder coat already but the silver color from the manufacturer come out.

They ask me for a couple day to repaint it again.
And the second time it happen the same way. Silver came out again.


Finally after the search carefully they come up with the similar POWDER that I want it look a lighter than the color that I want. But it okay, it look pretty close to NISMO V3 rims.

Since it take so long time to finish I can get a little discount.





So dont follow the same mistake I did.
