Slip Indicator problem after switching from 17in to 19in
I recently went from 17" stock wheels on my enthusiast to a set of 19x8.5 (fr), 19X9.5 (rr) gunmetal Volk GT-7s with Nitto 555 tires. The fronts are 245/35 and the rears are 275/30. They look great but now the TCS slip indicator has been activating in unexpected situations. It comes on in relatively mild turns (eg. a wide turn at 50-60 mph in 6th gear!), but behaves normally in more agressive turns.
Has anyone else had this problem, or can anyone shed some light on what may be causing this strange activity??
I'd much rather leave the TCS on than have to turn it off for everday driving.

Nissan USA says to always try to stagger the tires on a 350 z. Fronts are to be 1/2" to 3/4" shorter than the rears. In your case not only did you not do this...your rears are 1/4" shorter than the fronts. Nissan set up the computers to work traction control and abs properly based on this stagger. When its chaged dramatically you will have issues. 245-35-19front and 275-35-19 or 285-35-19 seems to take care of this nicely

thanks...i figured it had to do with the change in overall diameter.
I had actually originally ordered 275/35s but due to an apparent mixup, i was sent the 275/30s much to my dismay. I've seen others on this forum that also switched to 275/30's in the back and no body mentioned any problems so i figured i'd just use them rather than go through the trouble of returning them...
not sure what to do now

havent seen anyone go shorter in back than front, that will constantly make the computer feel like something is slipping(it measure individual speed of tires and compares it to what it thinks it should be.
suddenly your rears are faster than your fronts when it expects the opposite, making it think your back tires are spinning.
start bitchin, cause you need to get the 275/35. your rims will thank you as well.
