Quietest tires you have ran on the Z?
For the Z, my current pick is Toyo T1Rs.
My set (245/275-35/19) have a little over 3k miles on them but they are very quiet. Some road types create more noise than others but overall, I never hear these tires.
My last set of tires were the KDW2s in the stock sizes and I thought they were decently quiet over the life of the tires (~28k miles). But I'm biased on this opinion because the first set of tires on my Z were the (terrible) Bridgestone Potenza RE040s and before the Z I was driving a car with a much louder exhaust (yes, I used hearing protection on long road trips!)

My favorable comments on the NITTO INVOs are based on personal experience of actually owning and having driven on these set of tires. I have not picked up a Consumer Reports magazine in years and in all honesty, my life does not revolve on reading the reviews of every product that's ever been on the market.
IMO, comments from owners here who have actually put some mileage on these tires (or any other tire for that matter) should mean a lot more than some magazine review. After all, were those tires on the Consumer Report review actually tested on a 350Z? Enough said . . .

the invos are very popular on the corvette forums. if you haven't already known, the corvette and new zo6 has very loud tires. people put the invos on them and talks about how much they love the car now since it's quiet and smooth.
it also seems everyone are running invos from luxury sedans to full out sport cars. i'm not trying to jump on the bandwagon just because, but these are good tires. especially for the price. they also come in nice sizies.

My gf has the Michelin PS2's on her G.. and it is still quiet after 40k... and those are the stockies they came on... as for me I had the bridgestone RE040... omg.. big difference. Eventhough my TPMS gauge showed 38psi on all four, it still sounded like they were all flat.
I think I would go with the Michelin PS2's next...

Dunno about that. I have the KDW2s, and probably have about 60% tread left on them now after putting a hard 6000 miles on them. They haven't gotten any louder than when I installed them. They were slightly louder than my stock RE050s but they have not increased at all. At least not yet.

The Michelin PS2's were pretty damn quiet. They were also soft and wear pretty fast for me, so I guess that's the trade-off. Great gripping tire though.
I'm slammed with wtf camber, so I can only read so much into these Consumer Reports.
You have to weigh in what you read, and your peer reviews as well.

Does it really matter who I am? A member here, just like everybody else. Sure you could of told him a fact, in a better way. I'm sure 99% of the people on this forum base there facts from tirerack review, from owning 1 set of tires, or from other peoples mouth.
simmer down gents

I gotta say that the longer i have these tires it honestly makes me not even wanna drive my car. I drove it up to school today and came home down a backroad to the highway. Its not that bumpy but pretty textured if that makes since lots of small cracks. It seriously started to give me a headake. I couldnt hear my midbass in my car at all. I always have my radio shack db meter in my cubby so i pulled it out and on that road at 45 mph it was reading 98 to 101 c weighted. That is just ungodly and rediculously loud. I even got my alignment checked last week to double check it hadnt gotten thrown off. In stock specs just how the car came. No more toe or camber compared to a totally stock Z.
I dont have the money right now for new tires as some stuff has come up. Its pretty sad when tires make you dread driving an awesome car.
