Default Aggressive offsets and your paint?

So how does everyone’s paint fair on the side of their ride when running aggressive wheels that are flush with the body?

It seems to me that I would constantly be dealing with the front tires throwing dirt, sand, mud, whatever down the side of the car with an aggressive setup. But in the same sense, so many of you run aggressive setups and I wouldn't think you guys would be putting your paint in harms way.

What’s the deal with this?

What did you ask? Something with your post seems to be distracting me.

Dirt still kicks underneath the side of the chassis. Honestly, I remember more dirt being kicked on the side of my car when it was stock, versus it being slammed to the ground now.

Ok, well having your car lowered aside. I wouldn't be lowering my car, I live in the DC area and that would just be stupid.

Oh my apologies...

I usually associate "...aggressive wheels that are flush with the body" to be lowered as well.

I'll move along now.

OP, aggressive offsets and stretched tires kinda need to be accompanied with an equally agressive drop. If you aren't willing to lower your Z, then the stretched look isn't for you.

In all honesty, I love the stock wheels. I think they are the best OEM wheel I've ever seen. I was thinking about pushing them out a little with spacers for a slightly more aggressive look. Nothing super aggressive.

Hence the reason I posed the question.

You are not supposed to drive the car! Just on sunny days to take some photos.

fatboy:

How long have you had your wheels?

How does the paint look on the side of your car? Does it resemble your front bumper (IE: looks like its sand blasted...unless you have a clear bra)

25mm spacers are just perfect for oem wheels.

Yeah, I was going to go with 25 front and 30 rear. I just wanted to know what I can expect as far how my paint is going to fair ont he side of the car. The skirts I'm not so worried about, it's the doors and the rear quarter panels.

Just don't go crazy with the tire shine and you'll be fine.

I have volk GT-S 9.5/10.5 and +17/+18 front and back. Thats pretty much as aggressive as you can go and my paint looks new everywhere except... my front bumper looks like some kid picked up hand fulls of stones and kept throwing them at it. ( by the way my car is magnetic black )
