Default Sessanta or Invo?

Vredestein Sessanta or Nitto Invo?

I want to mount 295/35 and 275/35 on 18x10 & 18x9 RPF1's.

Cost (ea.):

Sessanta:
295's - $204
275's - $169

Invo:
295's - $235
275's - $198

I've read great things about the Invo, but haven't read too much on the Sessanta. Potential uses are Street/HPDE/Autocross.

Where are you getting those prices? I'd be interested in Sessanta myself if I could get a whole set for around $600 255/35/19 (2) by 275/35/19 (2).

Hm... a trip to my wheel shop may be in order. My front tires are balding on the outside.

I love my invo's. They grip great and I'm boosted. I haven't even spun out in 2nd gear yet.

Easy decision. Sessanta is ranked highly, while Invo is ranked at the very bottom, by Consumer Reports.

Some one said the Sessanta are compareable with PS2 which is one of the best tires on this planet.
Invo has some great review as well.

Every time people mention about the Invo people always bring up the same Consumer Report saying it's crap.
But a lot of people actually say nice thing about Invo on here and G35 forum.

I googled Sessanta's and it has been noted that they do not last long? As little as 10,000 miles. Do any of the current user have better data on how long these tires will last on a DD?

Could you expand on this? Keep in mind this is for a DD that would see the occasional HPDE or autocross. If I could attend more then that I would just buy a dedicated set of wheels & tires.

Have you own & driven either tires? Anyone who makes decisions strictly on Consumer Reports reviews and not factor in feedback from 350Z owners needs to have their head examined. Peer reviews, IMO, is worth more than some magazine review that, more than likely, did not even used a 350Z for their tire review.

I've never own a Sessanta but did consider them. They're much cheaper than the INVOs but at the end of the day, I liked the thread design better and the favorable reviews on the INVOs. More importantly, the INVOs had the sizes that I wanted.

yeah, depends on how many miles you're daily driving vs. how much track time you're planning on. if you're a beginner at the track then any tire will be ok for the first couple days, but if you're intermediate or advanced a higher performance tire will be worth it.

i haven't driven either tire in your OP so take it for what it's worth.

i have junky tires on my car now and did several hpde's on them. then got some used r comps on another set of rims and it was a world of difference. but the high perf street tires nowadays get really close to r comp feel and performance... so that's what i would get next after both sets of tires are done. less garage space, don't have to bother switching tires before an event, not packing them in your car if you're not going to drive to the even on them, etc etc.

but i don't put many miles on my car so i won't burn through a sticky street tire in a year or anything. the star specs, re01, xs, and nt05 all sound fun. all depends on your yearly mileage and what you want to trade off.
