Default Question about tires?

I bought tires at super autobacs cuz they are going out of buisness and the tires were cheap. toyo t1r

I was wondering is it safe to hold on to the tires for 1.5-2 years before using them since i recently got rims and tires already. I heard that the age of a tire matters and after 6 years you shouldnt use them since the tires dry and crack.

Any info about this would be great. Is it safe?

you shouldnt keep them TOO long..(i.e. those 6 years..)if you keep them in a climate controlled room where the humidity doesn't change as much, you should be ok for, i'd say at least a year or 2.. i'd bag it to keep the rubber from crap, or use some rubber oil on the sidewalls to prevent cracking.. but that much space being taken up? might as well sell it!

I am not driving, say, 100 MPH on 6 year old tires but you can.
