ray_7, john350z, JimH...

How much drop are each of you sporting? I've read that the H&R and Eibach kits drop the car 1 to 1.25". Trying to get a feel for how that looks.

I don't want to drop too much... have actually been looking at the S-tune suspension which is billed as a 0.8" drop, I think.

McDuck, when I looked at the Mossy Z, it was right next to mine that is stock ht. I really could not see ANY differance even when I took my fingers and measured with them. The car handdled great but looked stock.

I am looking into coilovers to weigh all options. If all things equal in handling, i like the idea of ht adjustment in a coilover and EDFC in Teins for ride hardness setting. I have not made up mind myself.

mcduck, I just went out and measured again. I have a total of 38,389 miles on my Z and 23,000 of those miles are on the Eibach's so they have settled all they are going to settle. The front has dropped 13/16" from new and the rear has dropped 14/16" from new and measured from the same spot in my garage prior to Eibach install.

SB24, I have 23,000 miles on my Nitto Extreme's and yes, I do have some inside wear now. I am guessing that these tires will go 35,000+ miles at this rate of wear/feathering. This is against the oem B-stones that were shot @ 11k miles. I drive a lot of highway/high speed miles and have been known to be a tad aggresive as well. I do run at the drags regularly (time off during this 105+ summer heat!) on these Nitto's and I am very pleased w/tire mileage considering the camber issue. I guess I am saying that the Eibachs drop has not adversly affected the camber issue for me even tho it is there. Regards, Jim

Last time I went to the tire shop, they measured I have -2 camber on the back.

WOW WOW WOW!!!!! That looks great!! Nice wheels. Nice drop! And from one LS owner to another.....Nice color. I think this is the style wheel I'll end up with. What other wheels are similar in style? Anything lighter in weight?

Thanks

Default Drop

Whoa! 2 inches all around? Yikes, I am at 13/16 front and 14/16 rear and I have to be careful. At 2" I would be dead in the water trying to clear even the smallest of speed bumps, inclines, etc.

I am amazed some of you guys are getting away with such large drops. I have a stock ht Z and I noticed scrapes underneth and I am being careful. Have you guys looked underneth your cars when you change oil?

Default I agree!

I dropped 13/16" front & 14/16" rear w/Eibachs and I have to be careful on our pretty decent roads out here in Phoenix. I cannot concieve of a 2" drop being drivable and the camber issue would be totally out of hand w/that drop. To the owner that said "about 2" all around", are you sure it's that much? Regards, Jim

Default Shine/sheen?

SC,
Lets see, yes, yes and Olympus E-20. I dunno (detailer does it) and I dunno.
Oh, and thanks for the kind word(s) on the drop. I think it totally enhances the cars attention grabbing characteristics besides improving the ride quality (no more bouncing/pogoing) and cornering ability! Regards, Jim

For you guys that has high drops, do you guys roll your fender?

Mine is is so low and the wheels is so tucked out, that the distance between that and the fenders is like 1cm at the most.

Do you think I should roll mine?

Sometimes when I do hard cornering, the fender touches the tires...

Is this Jim N'Az from DPReview? Nice car. I have an E-10 that I've had since they came out, though I'm looking at the E-1 strongly as my next camera...

Default Aaaaaack, I've been found...

Yup, now you know why I have not been posting over on dpreview of late! (Totally wrapped up in the Z thing since October!)
Yes, I still have two E10's and the E20 was for some mag shots of the Z.
Love the E series even after all these years. I have over 40,000 exp. on one and the other has nearly 22,000 after being refurbed. Good machines! Regards, Jim

I understand. I pretty much stopped posting on dpreview as well once I got the Z. Time to pick up the other hobbies now though after a year. I'm still as excited as the first day I got my Z when I see it in the morning but realize I need start taking pictures of other things before I drive everyone else I know crazy...
