Default General Exclaim UHP Tires for Stock Rims?

Anyone have any experience with these? They are the cheapest tire I have found for our size rims.. THey look relatively good and a friend of mine put them on his E63 so Im wondering are they any good for our cars? I have to change my tires within the month and was looking at these.

They suck. Don't last like they should, don't work well as a performance tire. On a normal car, with a driver who doesn't push the car hard, you will be fine. I was coming off of KDW2's, which I loved, and the Generals were a huge disappointment.

They are cheap though, less than half the price of the BFG's, but thats the ONLY thing I liked about them.

i dont think they suck. I have them on my car and pull pretty decent traps for street tires at the track. they seem to be wearing well also.

i have those tires on my daily (mazda protogay), the only thing i don't like about them is how flimsy the sidewall is. it is extremely thin, feels more like a heavy duty baloon then a tire. but then again, it hasn't really given me any problems... but i wouldn't get those for my z...

they'd prolly be good for drag racing like str8dum1 suggested cause of the sidewall, and you want tire flex when launching

Do you need M&S rated tires?

I have run these tires. The sidewalls are more flexible than a lot of other performance tires. Hence, the ride is better and I believe they are quieter. Wear is good from my experience. If you want handling over everything else, I wouldn't buy the UHP's - but they are an excellent compromise. IMO, you can get 85% of the performance of the expensive tire for about half the price. Make you own decision, though. Read some reviews on Tirerack, etc.

if you are after cheap, good performing tires, I would look into vredestein sessanta's.

General Exclaim UHP's are no good. Very noisy and so-so handling.

The handling is decent its more of a "touring type tire"as aposed to the weekend racer but I have some on my stock rims and my aftermarket, they take forever to wear down I burn mine up all the time, daily driver and theres plenty of tread left.noise is not bad at all compared to others

These tires suck! I was chaging my oil and decided to rotate my tires. Since they're unilatteral, they had to be dismounted to be swapped accordingly. Guess what... the side wall easily gave in on both rear tires, and once the tires were re-inflated, bubbles appeared from what was clearly structural damage (certainly not shop fault either, they've done my tires before). Do not, I repeat, do not waste your money on these tires. I only bought them because I was in a bit of a financial bind, so I had to, but never again. The handling on these tires suck as well. Not gonna go into details about speed, but once you hit a certain limit, these tires do not perform well.
