Yet another NITTO INVO review
Tires I have owned:
Michelin PS
Bridgestone SO3
Michelin PS2
Nitto Stats:
2k miles so far
40 psi front, 38 rear (proper psi on these tires are still up for debate)
255/35/19 , 285/35/19
My car is a daily driver. Most of the time I just putter to and from work with the occasional offramp fun or mountain drive. Once my PS2’s were worn I decided that I would try to find a cheaper tire since I couldn’t justify the coin given my driving style.
These tires have a very thick profile. Most other reviews fail to mention this, but be conservative (stretch) when it comes to picking a size. If your current tires barely clear your fenders (especially in the rear) then these tires of the same size might have clearance issues.
The first thing I noticed is that these tires have a squishier sidewall compared to PS2. I cranked up the PSI and the squishyness was reduced. These tires ride very well and are quite comfortable. I notice I get less noise from imperfections in the road, but I do get a bit of tire hum in the rears at freeway speeds (my only real complaint). Increasing the PSI also helped reduce this problem but not eliminate it. The fronts are dead silent. The grip is excellent. It comes very close to PS2.
Overall, I really like these tires. The tire roar in the rear while not that intrusive was disappointing as I had read so many reviews of these tires being silent, but what do you expect from a high performance summer tire. I am hoping a trip to the alignment shop will solve it. I would say that these tires are perfect for your average G/Z owner who wants to enjoy their car’s handling while keeping the ride civilized. For those of us who want a stiffer driving experience (and with extra cash), the PS2 remains the best choice.

I appreciate a good stretch as much as the next guy too. these actually look really great when theyre clean! the meaty sidewalls give it a more muscley almost f1 look.

Wow on the first pic the tire looks awfully close to the fenders. Are your rear fenders rolled? I was thinking of getting some Invos in 18s, particularly 275/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear. My rear fenders are rolled but now I'm concerned I still might have clearance issues. Rim spec will be 18x9 and 18x10 +20.
Nice writeup though and thanks for sharing pics.

unfortunately, its really hard to say if you will have rubbing issues without actually throwing the wheels/tires on
