Default polished/powdered nismo rays forged - fix up

Hey guys,

Relatively new, and I made the mistake of letting a valet take my 07 nismo and park it in an underground parking lot. Needless to say later on that evening when bringing it home i was needlessly scrutinizing tiny bits of dirt lol... and i came across about a 1 1/2 inch rash on the rear wheel.

They're the standard rays forged, but in the gunmetal grey... I've browsed before posting but couldn't confirm whether or not it's polished or powdered.

I'm going to sand down later this evening and was hoping to pick up the appropriate polish (if applicable) later on today.

Reccomendations? I live in Canada so half of the stuff mentioned in other threads is NOT available here at the local stores.

Also, do I need to treat anything differently as a result of the gunmetal coloring?

thanks!

Yes, clearly the logical conclusion is to spend 2000$ plus (for used ones at that) for a tiny minor curb rash which I could pay 100$ for to have completely fixed... or I could attempt to save some money and do it myself on some of my off time.

this MINOR rash.. suggestions minus arrogant replies which have little to nothing to do with the aformentioned topic?

They are definitely not polished they are either painted or powdercoated. If I were in your shoes I'd look around, either by perusing other forums or looking in the phone book, for a good local powdercoater or custom painter and see if either the wheels can be re-powdercoated or whether you can obtain a bottle of touch up paint. Good luck.

I can definitely get the corresponding color touch up paint from Nissan for like 12$, checked that out... I guess I'll do a little bit more research however regardless and perhaps just pay to have it done professionally.

assuming I do the touch up paint would the sanding / masking off process be the same approximately however?

Thank you.
