BUT

my new VOLK TE37 BRONZ came yesterday in the mail!!! yay!

before i mount them.. should i apply wheel wax to them?
is it safe for the matte finish? and safe to apply to the inside barrael too?

thanks!

oh.. seems like many people used maguirs quick detail.. is that okay to use on the te37 as well?

im just asking cause the bronz te37 is a matte finish.
Just curious bro, did you get new Volks? All your questions are answered by Andy in that thread. I mean literally every one you just asked are answered in the first post of that thread. Just quit posting you got new wheels and put them on the fookin car already, BTW why are you cleaning and waxing new wheels?

should you? it's up to you, you can if you want to.

yes is it safe for matte finish. yes you can apply to barrel if you want to, but it's just going to get brake dust on it later.

/end thread.

Taken directly from post #1 in Andy's thread

"Maintain your wheels by using anything that you would use on the paint of your car. Meguiar's Quick Detailer, MOTUL Wash N' Wax, mild wax, soap and water are ideal. If you have a matte or flat finish face, don't let this fool you because even the flat colors are clear coated as well."

"the way I maintain my wheels is by cleaning the wheels with soap and water while I wash my car, rinse it down, drive the car around the block a few times to get all the water out of the barrel's and the cracks of the car, dry everything in a shaded and cooled environment, and finish the wheels off with either MOTUL Wash N' Wax or Meguiar's Quick Detailer for the final touches."

I think you need to read...what did I miss? LOL

When I saw the title "WoW", I came in here to ban the OP, thinking it was another spammer. Then I saw it was a legit thread...

give them a good coat of wax initially and that will help repeal dirt so you can use a mild dish soap. a good wax should last for a few months and then reapply after a good cleaning.

never ever use any branded wheel cleaner on the rims. just to be safe, just don't.

never ever let a commercial car wash near your car. even if you tell them that they cannot use wheel cleaner, the - likely - mexicans that will be washing your car neither speak english or follow instructions and should not be trusted (nor should the managers who probably brush your comments off as **** and won't even mention it to the staff).

also so you know... WoW in interweb speek is for a MMO online game. you probably had a stream of geeks onto this thread only to be super furious they couldn't flame you for some noob related WoW offense. lol.

Dish soap will remove the wax. It is not made for anything in the garage unless you have a slop sink and dishes out there.

100% agree. The first bath has a pH that you don't want on your clear coat. Just say no.
