I've purchased the lifetime alignment from Firestone tires and have taken it there twice for an alignment. The second a tech gets on the car he loves to rev the Z. After the alignment he'll test drive it to ensure that "it's ok". To say the least, i'm not exactly fond of how the tech drives my car.

At my request can I ask him not to drive it after the alignment?

 

You can request whatever you like, you're the customer. But if they haven't aligned it properly, be prepared to find out that it pulls one direction or the other and have to bring it back to them to be fixed.

 

Relax.

Mechanics drive $5,000 and $100,000 vehicles every day. Its part of the job. And like most jobs pretty routine and boring.

Have them drive it before you leave. Ride with them if you want.
