2009 350z. Do I need cap for TPMS to work?
I just purchased a 2009 350z. Love, love the car. But it came with only three of the tire valve caps. One is missing. Plus the check air pressure light is on. Do I need a cap to make the light go out? Is the cap special? The others look to just be a metal cap. Thanks for any help!

Yeah mine has been stock on for a day or so from time to time. Just make sure the pressure is right and drive for a couple days, it should go off.
BTW I'm assuming you meant a 370Z lol

Yes, there is a 2009 350Z roadster. The tires are never inflated all the way when they are shipped. Just check the PSI and fill your tires as needed. Steal a cap from another car. Done.

The tire air sensor is mounted on the inside of the wheel. If you ever upgrade the wheels on your car, the sensors will need to be moved to the new wheels. Check the owners manual for information on the tire monitoring system.

Yes, there are 09 350z roadsters!
Check your tire pressure on your 4 tires plus the spare tire. Should be 35 psi on 4 tires and 60 psi (?) on the spare.
If the light is still on, then reset it by disconnecting the negative on the battery for 5 min (and turn the headlights on for a few min) and then turn off the headlights and re-connect the negative back on the battery.

He's not saying it to get the headlights on (the battery is disconnected). By turning the headlights on you discharge the battery backup in the ECM of the car thereby resetting error codes.
