My cousin had a Black Maxima in the late 90's and it showed everything. I love a Black finish on cars, if they are kept clean, but it hard around here.

What are your plans for the winter ? I assume you have a winter vehicle too ? My Z will be going into her winter hideaway very soon--winter is right around the corner, unfortunately.

4WD is a necessity, especially after last winter...

I picked up a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder a few months ago for a winter ride...it should get me around.

I wonder how your insurance company lets you take the driving insurance off of your Z for the winter, mine won't. They told me that the only cars that have that option are special use vehicles like classics, historics, etc, and then the state puts restrictions on you for the number of miles you can drive in a 12 month period. I wonder if the law changed ? I will have to look into things, but as of now, I have to carry full insurance for 4-6 months of winter, even though the Z never gets driven...it sucks.

Im with Erie insurance....saves me about 400.00 for those 3 months only having coverage for sitting there...I can't drive it though cuz if I hit something...I'd be F'd!!

How much is your full coverage ins anyway? I'm 31 and its still 1500.00/year and I got some goofy letter stating that cuz of the low curb weight (lolol) vs. HP...its a fast car to be carefull.....nicely saying that if you get a ticket...we're kicking your *** out.

I am with Erie Ins too...they are a big cost savings over the other agencies, and they are great to deal with as far as claims go.

I never got the letter you mentioned, but my rates are about the same (around $1400 or $350 quarterly) for full tort coverage on both vehicles. I know insurance differs drastically from state to state, but I can't figure out why you have different options than I do...I guess I need to talk to my rep and see if anything changed.
