Default What would you do?

So my wheels/tires finally arived today. I spent 2 weeks trying to find the 275/35/19 tire for my rear. Called several vendors and they all told me that that size was on national backorder, and my only option is either wait 2-3 months for the brand I wanted, or get Hankooks Ventus 104's. So I said, alright, lets just go with the Hankooks AS LONG AS I GET THE 275/35/19! Anyways, to make a long story short, the wheels came with 275/30/19s in the rear. Should I mount these on my car and see what happens? Or wait for some 275/35/19.. BTW, I got 245/35/19 for the front tires. Do you think I'll have an issue? Should I give it a try?

your gearing will be off in the 30series. better acceleration, worse mileage.

might pissoff your traction control, but probably not.

hankooks are the worst of the worst tho. can I ask who you got them from?

Id hang onto them I guess, but if I were you and you have the money, Id put in an order for the exact tires you want now. be VERY careful on the hankooks, they are far from performance tires IMO, and it would really suck to crash because of it. maybe take it easy with them for the winter or whatever and get a nice set for when summer rolls around.

or actually, did you sell your old rims? I see your in DC, a fair amount of snow there, no?

the Z will be useless on any 275 tires in the slightest amount of snow. if this is meant to get you around for the winter, Id put some snow tires on the stockers, and return the hankooks, order the good stuff, and put them on for the summer.

Hankooks are made in Korea, same makers as Kia and Hyndai I believe.

But hey, maybe they will give you that 100,000 mile warranty that warranties one part of the engine and transmission.

Not a good tire.

Yes, I already have the Toyo's on backorder, coming in 1-2 months. I just got the Hankooks to use for the waiting time. I'm gonna mount them tomorow and see what happens with the traction control and all.

And about the snow, I take public transportation or catch a ride with a friend. I don't drive in snow, with or without snow tires.

Ares...ever drive the Hankook K104? Try it sometime and lets see if your answer is the same.

The 30 series will most definitly upset your car...not to mention the rear is now shorter than the front.

I was ordering them, long story, but I just couldnt stop hearing negative things about them. so I ended up going with the 2 different brands in order to get the right sizes. and not have hankooks.
