Agreed.
Kics Heptagon Caliber 24 ... cool design but don't buy them if you plan on switching between two sets of wheels. The finish flakes off quicker than the stock chromies (those aren't very good either)

Some of the best lugs I've owned are mcgards spline with locks. Just picked up a set of kics neo chro. A few friends have had kics without any issues, but seems like people have had bad experiences here? Of course, I'm specifically talking about the r40's, not any of the other lugs from kics. Anyways... I'll see how it goes. I still have the mcgards as backups.

Worst lugs I've had were the rays duralumin. Paint chips unbelievably easy off of those.

Here are my kics (pre-BBK install):

Rays Dura-Aluminum Lug Nuts - Been advised by a few to stay away from these as they get rounded off.

What do you mean they get rounded off?

"Rounded off" means that the lugs have been abused to the point they don't catch on the socket. If its really bad, then you cannot remove the lug nut conventionally! Personally, I would take extra time and use hand tools to remove lug nuts. Most of the issues are usually associated with impact wrench.

Muteki closed huh? Please let me know how those work out. I tried tuner lugs to no avail. My inverted lugs already look to be showing signs of rust..Thinking of using caliper paint

While the center piece has been missing that lug has basically been open and has rusted from rain, washing etc. I think a good set of closed-ended lugs is the best bet. I will say, the swivel base the prevents your wheels from getting scratched is cool though.
i have this exact set on my volk gtm
