Default 19" rear tire options

Anyone running a 305/30r19 or wider rear tire? If so are you having any clearance issues looking to go as wide as I can without rubbing. I am currently running 285's with no problem but the 305/30 is the exact same outer diameter as stock and would give no issues with traction control or ABS.

If you have the Nismo wheels, 295 is probably the biggest you can go without rubber and body contact. Even on stock suspension, you will have rubber contact with 305.

Also, 305 might be too wide for a 10" wheel.

FWIW, I have 295/30s on my rear v.2 Track wheels (19x10). The fit is great. While I could probably put 305s on those wheels, I think the 295s fit better.

The unfortunate thing is the cost of those tires. :-(

285 to 305 is 20 mm. Put a tape inside the tire and outside the tire. See if you have 10 mm to spare.

why do you want 305's?

i don't see the point unless it's a track car.

but to each his own...good luck!

I sold a set of 19x11 wheels with 295/30/19 tires on them to member **ICE** and I was suprised to learn that the Z doesnt swallow wheels and tires like the G35 does. I am now running 305/30/19s on my G35 coupe without any rubbing. I'm happier with the 305 over the 295, it was just a little too short. I say go for the 305, 295 if you want to play it safe.

I want the 305's bc. the 265/35's don't provide the level of traction I want... I do track the car periodically. I went with the 285/30's and have been satisfied with the way they hook up, however the difference in outer diameter is just enough to affect the traction control. The 305/30's have the exact same outer diameter as the 265/35's so this wont effect the tcs. I've already paid for the gtm supercharger kit (still waiting for arrival) and with the added power added traction would definitely be nice Thanks to all for the advice.

And to guilty1 I know the power of searching, but im not going to go through 183 pages to try to find out if anyone is running this size. I do my part to try to help people by answering ?'s in the engine & drivetrain section (I was foolish to expect others to do the same). I guess some would think it's easier to get on and e-bash people then to try to give them advice. But every forum needs its douche bags so thanks for filling that role lol.

It's pretty much a given that anything over a 275 tire, lowered, and with an offset less than +22 you need to roll. Everyone I have run into has to do this or there will be some sort of rubbing.

19x10.5 +28 with 305/30/19 no problem, just need to match up a front tire that is shorter.
