I guess i shouldnt also tell you that Volk center caps fit it there too... but certainly dont do that either.

 

I also once called someone out for putting volk stickers on some reps... I noticed that they didnt have the raised lettering that i always thought they had... turns out they where authentic 18s that don't come with the letters... I looked like a fool. LOL

 

OK. just FYI:

ALL 19" sized REAL TE-37s come with embossing (Rays, Volk Racing, etc);
ALL 20" sized REAL TE-37s come with embossing (Rays, Volk Racing, etc);
ONLY SOME 18" sized REAL te-37s come with embossing-- there are some sizes that do NOT (i.e. the 18x9.5 and 10.5s in the Z +22 offsets)

ALL Volks have the marking JWL+R which is the Japanese road certification + R for Racing

from the images of what i've seen from Varrstoen wheels, their 19" do not have any embossing, nor do they have the +R designation. probably the key way to tell its a fake (sticker or not stickered).. another way is the weight difference (no brainer test)

imho... I'm pretty sure the original wheel's design was done with the manufacturing process in mind..( ie. forging) so given that, one must deduce that the spoke shape and amount of material in each spoke was done so knowing that the wheel would be forged.. so one must also think that if the same design was replicated in cast; the fake will most likely not be able to sustain the same amount of forces as the real ones.

i'm not saying that the fakes won't hold up a car for normal day-to-day driving, however you must now wonder how it will hold up for those big *** potholes that would typicall bend a wheel vs crack a wheel.. cracking a wheel could lead to a crash, which a bend, well its a PITA, but at least you didnt damage anything else on the car...

Agreed, even though im the one that would probably buy a replica item (volks), point being you can never flame the original part, it just shows how stupid and ricerish you are to point at original and say its ****/worse.

about 350z being replica w.e of the world, not true, but true that price of Z is going down and more morons are buying the car. This just dosnt justify that all people who buy used (cheap z)'s are in fact morons.
