What tires to buy?
Its time for tires and I would like you opinions. I have 18 inch stock wheels. The car is driven pretty agressively on the street and I do about 10 to 15 track days each year as an instructor. I don't want to change wheels and tires for the track days (I'm too lazy).
I want the tires to stick (and it would sure be nice if they lasted a while). Lower cost is good.
What would you recommend? And why? What sizes will fit?

Bridgestone SO-2 (not Pole Positions) 245/40-18 front and 255/40-18 rear
You can get them at Tirerack for about $215 each. Tons of grip, look good, work great in the rain... very good dual purpose tire. I have them on my Z now and have been very pleased with them. Good hiway manners and grip... can't go wrong.

Check if Kumhos are much cheaper than the other brands. They penetrated the market providing a cheaper alternative to Hooisers racing slicks. I've got the cheapest set on my (non-sports) car. My second choice was Yoko AVS's but I was curious about Kumho quality. no complaints yet.
