To All: I would like to switch to Michelin Pilot Sports A/S on my 18in touring wheels. However you can not get the factory size in the A/S line. Could you use a 245/40/18 rear and 225/40/18 front in a A/S tire and be OK? Would there be any VDC or traction control issues? All opinions welcome. Thanks.

Why not get the regular Pilot Sports? If you use the sizes you are suggesting, the stagger will remain, but you will lose about 1" in Overall Daimeter per wheel. If you want the A/Ss I would run 245/40 in front and 255/45 in the rear, with the stock wheels. This will keep the stagger and the ODs within an acceptable range, and reduce the stock oversteer. It will be a good combination.

BTW I just put on a set of Dunlop SP9000s on Nismo wheels. An awesome tire, and much cheaper than the Michelin.

I agree w/lowrider, if you want the A/Ss, those sizes work fine. BTW, I have A/Ss on my stock 17s, I like them a lot.

I have got the 235/40 and 255/40 on my track wheels and they seem to work great as well. No problems what so ever.
