I have a 05 Z with the stock 17" wheels(7.5"F 8"R) and the oem size is 225/50/17F and 235/50/17R. However, not many tires are available in these sizes. The best tire I could find in this size were the Sumitomo htr z iii. I also searched the forums about putting different sizes and found that 235/45/17F and 245/45/17R would work and tires such as the Dunlop Star Spec and the Kumho XS are available in these sizes. So my question is that which tires would be better for my car? I know the 235 and 245 would work on the car, but would there be any problems with the performance and is it just better to go with the z iii?

Welcome. Not many tires available in OEM sizes? I found 17 at Tire Rack. How many do you need?

What I meant was that there was limited choices available in the max performance and extreme performance categories I was looking under for the oem size.

Also, this car is my daily driver but I plan to attend a few HPDEs soon.
