Question Need a Tire recommendation...

I need a set of tires for my new wheels. Any recommendations on brand, quality, and price would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on running 245/35/19 up front, and 275/35/19 on the rear. Thanks.

what I am using, and am very impressed with them (way better than my old toyo T1-S!):

Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico
Size:275/35-19 about $300 each

Size:245/35-19 about $250 each

I figured they'd be. The largest wheel I ever had were on my Celica, and they were 17's.

Hey Bat

As I said before go with Dunlop SP 9000s. In 18" (245/40 and 275/40) cost me $909.00 Installed with Balance, racing Valve stems, and Tax at Discount Tire. Tires were $194. for the fronts and $223. for the rears.

Doing research on tires these past few days I see that top contenders are:

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-DS3

Bridgestone Potenza S-03

Dunlop S9000

I've got the Goodyears--awesome tires! I believe they're (Goodyear) also offering some kind of rebate right now as well.
Tire Rack has 'em listed as their top tire in Max performance class.

Both CR & Tirerack rank Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 at the top of the list. No idea if they come in 19 inchers.

I am using S03 PP's in 19 in configuration and love them.

However the contenters were/are always the Toyo Proxes T1-S.

I would be interested in learning from Scratchy why the Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico are better... in his opinion...

imho, they are more predictable near the limit, and also less noisier (that is a certainty!). They seem to wear better too. But that is just my opinion. But I need to mention the Toyo's were used on my previous car, a 2000 Celica, in 18", so my opinion might not really apply to the 350Z chassis/19" combo. But what is sure is that the Pirelli are by far the best tires I have had so far.

i've had both s03s and the falkens on my car

the falkens are a pretty good tire...

compareable to the s03s in dry weather, however not nearly as good in the wet.

they will last you a little bit longer, but are a little louder on the road.

the bonus is that they're alot cheaper... the fronts around 150 a piece, the rears 260 a piece.

Ya, I hear they're a no name brand, but heard they're pretty decent. I guess they make tires for some of the big name brands out there.

People with Pirelli PO-Rosso's and Dunlop SP Sport 9000's, you happy with them? Any plus or minus's? Do they give a quiet ride?
