Default tire size for 18in rims

Hey guys, I was wondering if I would be able to get away with throwing on 235/40 and 255/35 on a set of 18in rims for my z.

Thanks

Depends how wide it is, I've ran 255s and 265s (both 35s) on an 18x10 wheel.

maybe I should have clarified... will I still be in the "allowable range" for the height? since stock is 225/45 and 245/45.

you need to keep the ratio the same to not throw the VDC off.

So what setup do you guys think then, since I will be having to buy new tires I'd want to go as wide as possible on the rear with the 9" rim
