Default Need Help with Wheels selection

Hi 350z forum, im here noob forumer. I tried to look through most of the forum rules and FAQ and i been stalking the forum for a month or two. So finally made an account because its was hard to find the answer to my question on google or any where else so i figured it would be best to ask the veterans here.

So its summer time and i want to add rims to my summer tires, as im going to put my stock rims along with my winter tires aside. I like these "D'vinci Gira" blacks with silver inserts wheels. Problem is they only make 18's in 7.5 widths. In the FAQ sections, i saw that it is not recommenfed to go under 8 widths. So my wheels are now 225/45/18 in front, and 245/45/18 in the back. Is it safe to put 7.5's in? i really like the rims (many people may disagree). Its offset on the rims are 35 as opposed to OEM 30's. So what will i sacrifice in terms of safety, power, handling, performance, wear and tear if i choose to install the 18 x 7.5's. I am more concerned about the rear as 245 seem to be quite a bit of a stretch to slap on 7.5's widths.

Thanks a bunch in advance, forumers..
Best regards,
Julian

Trust us, it will look terrible. Not even talking about the wheels here. The size of the wheel alone will make it look horrible. As for widths, you usually want 8.5/9.5 or 9.5/10.5

I think what Terrasmak means to sy is that you should roll these wheels..

a classic ode to days past.

DUde all the sharks are commin in, theres blood in the water.. just trust us.. you dont have to take our opinion, but there is a point where art is not just a good picture you happen to not like, but is art thats actually poorly done.

The wheels youre looking at have ZERO to do w the car you own.. just doesnt fit man..

google wheel configurator.. theres a ton of places you can see wheels onyour car.. youd be surprosed what looks good, and youd be surprised how even some nice wheels will look Donk as hell.

These are neither.. and are donk on any car. jus sayin mang. no offense meant.

Any recommendations, i really like the twists, but i dont want too much black spokes, no chrome either.

No "twisty" style rims are allowed on this forum. That would be grounds for permaban!

while it is a knowledge base a social forum, it is certainly not ( as you will surely find) a place for all things 350z.

Some things for the 350z are considered the black arts, and are forbayed by all in the land.

Just sayin.. the wheels? Witchcraft dude.. witchcraft.

No bueno.

Wait, you asked.. i feel obliged to answer.. yes.

YES there ARE twist wheels that are good wheels.

Here are some great options for you:

http://www.forgiato.com/

Take a peek.. its wheels like THIS:

Notice how these wheels look best if youre iced out, are not driving a Z but rather a Bentley or a Maserati.. AND must be 6'7" and 275 and be a pro athlete.

And they are still a well over grand each.

This is the TOP OF THE LINE for the type of wheel you want.. and they would STILL look fantasticly horrible on a small import 2 seat sports coupe.

WE are trying to literally save your automotive life!! we cant quit on you! we wont loose another one.. i just wont lose another one! Get me more epi and defrib pads STAT!Set to 580!...CLEAR!!!! BZZZZZZZ... haha. jk.

Btw somehow they actually made 2 maserattis look lame.
Tuff to do.
