I actually had those wheels on my tiburon and had no problems with them. I hit the edge of the track going about 100 and it bent, but held up really well considering the impact. That looks like a defect or someone dropped it.

I kept on bending them on the chicane off the back straight at Streets of Willow. That is the only place i could bend them, and i beat them into rumble strips everywhere.

I bought these wheels and picked them up in the US originally, saving myself $200 in fees and brokerage BS if I had shipped them directly to me in Canada, Im not far from the US border, I do this alot.

These were brand new

I called DTD, I had to buy another set and ship them directly to me in Canada (in order to make my event the next weekend) losing out on the $200 I saved originally.

So 1 set of $510 wheels, are now up to 2 sets for $1220, and Im also out of pocket on time, inconvinience, dismounting, remounting, etc....just a huge hassle.

When I spoke to DTD about the issue, the salesman didnt even believe me since it was a "cast aluminium" wheel.

Anyways; they covered the cost to have the bent set shipped back, and will refund me the original $510, Im still out everything else.

I still don't think I should be out the extra $200 considering this would have never happened if they were "new".

I've emailed DTD this video, been about a 5 days without response.

I love MB Wheels, I think they are an awesome bang for buck wheel, I have an older set I still use at the track, just my luck I guess.

Craig at DTD called me after seeing this post. The internet is amazing lol

Said that the associate who took my initial call should have filed this under a warranty claim and I wouldn't have had to pay for brokerage+fees. A mistake on their end.

So in the end I get my money back and all is well. It's nice that a large company still gives a **** about the little guy.

I would agree, they were dropped by the shipper, or rammed with a forklift. They are really strong wheels for what they are. I have a set i need to refinish (or sell), but in the time I did run them, they were great and somewhat light weight wheels.
