Hi guys,

I have an '04 Z Coupe Base model, and want to put on some new rims and am struggling to understand all aspects of the offset...

Bottom line is this:

I have some 3rd party front rims with an offset of +15 and rear rims with an offset of +43.

Stock offsets on a Z I believe, (for stock 18" rims) is fronts of +30 and rears of +30.

Stock offsets of 17's on a Z I believe are fronts at +30 and rears at +33. (and they're tucked into wheel well a little bit)

If my 18's are NOT STOCK, can I use the stock 18" stock rims specs to gauge how well my own 18" rims will fit? I'm doing this like so: I compare my 3rd party rims offset of +15 for front to the 18" stock offset of +30 and am thinking that means my 3rd party rims will stick OUT 15mm more than the stock look? Will this be ok? Will it just get flush to car or will it stick out too much?

Then I compare the rear offsets, with the 3rd party rims at +43 and the stock 18" rims are +30, which means they'll tuck IN 13mm more than stock? Therefore I need 15mm or 20mm spacers to make them look right?

Am I onto this correctly, or have I left something out?

Mind if I bug you Z veterans if there is any problem with this scenario?

why would you ever put a +43 rear offset rim on a z for any reason?

just put stock rims on and save your loot.

dump the wheels you have.
