Unhappy What types of winter tires do you guys use on your zs?

Hi Everybody,

Yesterday I almost got killed by losing control of my Z. It was a snow day and I was driving on a high way at 35 mph, and making a left turn. It slipped and was out of comtrol. Lucky me, There was no car close to my Z. Finally, I gained control back after slicing out of the road for about 50 feet or more and stopped and parked my Z on a side . It was so scary. The stock tires are too BAD for winter (they claimed that the tires "Potenaz re92" are for all seasons. They lied) Because of after that, I checked the bridgestone website and the tirerack.com). Anyone plans to drive the Z in snow ( BE CAREFUL FOR YOURSELF). When I tried to park my car on the street , it slipped all the time. I could say that without changing the tires, the Z is not driveable in snow

our stock tires are Potenza RE040 - and they are SUMMER PERFORMANCE tires - not at all All-seasons and not designed to be driven in snow.

A lot of people who are driving their Zs in the winter are getting Blizzaks

The stock tires suck in the snow. I got a pair of Blizzaks and got to test them out yesterday. They worked great. I would get a pair if you plan on using the Z in the snow.

Default winter tires

I found this survey on the tirerack site www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/winter.jsp
I was supprised to see Dunlop was rated the best. Pirelli was second. Dunlop does not have a 245/50/17 winter tire. I bought a set of Pirelli winter 240 snowsport tires. They have 235/50/17 & 245/50/17 sizes. I have driven in a few big snow storms and these tires are great!!. They are also great in the rain.
