Running without Tire Pressure Sensors
I've searched but cannot find a clear answer. If you change your wheels and decide not to put the tire pressure sensors into the new wheels, what error codes do you get? What will show on your tire pressure gauge? Will any bells ring or lights blink? If so, any way to defeat this?
Removing the sensors is just plain stooooped. Improper pressure can dramatically effect your handling/performance, and increase the chance of rim damage. The low profile Track tires seem to lose pressure consistently, expecially in cold weather. At least 8 time in 15 months has the low pressure indicator come on. Check and only about 28 lbs. Quickly refill back up to 35 lbs, and feels much better.

Ive not noticed anything at all other than the gauge does not give you a reading. No wierd lights, alarms or anything to speak of.

I'm asking this question because I want to put some competition tire on my stock wheels for autocross use and my aftermarket wheels will be on the rest of the time. I don't want to buy another set of sensors for the second set of wheel since the car is specifically calibrated to one set of sensors. Even if I had sensors in both sets of wheel, I would have to take it to the dealer every time I switched wheels. Why would I want to do that?

No biggie, I just ignore it. Once I change back to my street tires and go to work the next day, everything works fine again. So, in your case, you'd just have to put up with the light during the week, and then use the TPS for AutoX (which is definitely a nice feature - being able to monitor tire pressures on the fly).

My light hasn't turned on after I swapped my wheels to my 19" ADR M-Sports... but it DID go on (and stayed on for months ever since) after I put my original sensors in my pocket and drove the car to sell it to someone...
No sounds, no beeping... no blinking... just constant-on light.. I've grown used to it, no biggie.
