Default Front Tires Taller than Rear?

This question might sound weird but I was wondering what problems I might run into running 265/40/18 in the rear and 245/45/18 in the front? would my Z's cornering be affected by this?

I ordered 2 new Hankooks the other day from discounttires.com and accidently got the 40's not thinking about my 45's in the front

265/40 is a perfect rear tire , your front should have a 245/40 on it.

If your Z has VDC or TCS, then you're gonna have a problem with taller front tires.

Read this thread OP, this is one of the most simplest questions that you can ask about the 350z and there is a ton of info for it:

I would also suggest you read this entire thread:

I tried that exact setup 245/45/18 and 265/40/18, the fronts were visibly taller and it had some traction issues, needless to say i changed it the next day

Thanks for all the replies and the link!
I sent an email to discounttires.com and asked what they would charge for an exchange.
I would realllllllly love to keep the 265/40/18 in the rear but unfortunately im too poor to afford 2 new front tires that are 245/40/18
ill be going with 255/45/18 rear 245/45/18 front assuming they let me do the exchange.

Have new 295/35/19 on rear. Had 255/30/19 on front. Ton of after market beefed up suspension front and rear. Car didn't handle or corner as expected. Just bought two new 255/35/19 for front, now matched to rear. That did it. Corners and handles as expected. Same sidewall front and rear does make a differance.

Oh man, I'd try to exchange the tires for the right size. Good luck OP!
