Default 18's or 19's?

I'm hoping to pick up some of these ADR M-sports very very soon. But I can't make up my mind whether to get 18's or 19's. I have the enthusiast with 17's so I'm thinking that 18's are going to be bigger so that should be fine, but then again 19's will most likely look better. On the other hand I will save money with the 18's and I dont have a ton to spend anyways. Any thoughts? Has anyone talked with the sponsor from Discount tire lately? Haven't been able to get ahold of him

18" does have a performance advantage, but didnt see you mention that at all, so maybe that doesnt matter for you.

I'm with ares, 18" does have a performance advantage. In any event get 8.5" front and 9.5" rear. Somewhere about a 25mm offset front and 30mm offset rear. Use 245/40s and 275/40s for 18s and 245/35s and 275/35s for 19". But again, if it were me, and it was. I'd go with the 18s. I went from the stock 18s to Nismo 18s.

Thanks guys. Those wheels only come in a 35 offset on both front and rear. I was thinking of getting 245/40 and 285/40 rear

Are you getting your wheels from Autobahn? I'd stick with the 18" wheels.

18's only have a performance advantage if you go with a light forged wheel, 19's always look better. You make the call.

I'm going with the 18's. They are cheaper and still bigger than what i have now. Who knows, maybe i'll get a nice set of volks or something later on down the road.

Go with 19s. They look better and the performance disadvantage is imperceptible.

I would, but the wheels would run me more than i'm trying to spend. Maybe once i'm out of college and i'll go with 19's. Thanks for all the input

Was wondering what the popular train of thought was on wheels/tires out there and I guess I found it here. I am in the same position as TTSUPRA wondering if I should get 18" or 19's". I am leaning heavely towards the 18's after reading all the post. The car will not be used on the track but used as a weekend get-a-way car to take trips all over the place.
I have seen some Z's with 19" and thought that they were sweet and others that looked like the rim was about to grab traction before the tire! The only thing I am sure of is that I really like the Axis Mod. The 18" come with 235/40R18 ($1550) while the 19" comes with 245/35R19 ($2000). The problem is is that the two sizes of rims only come 8" wide (so I am told by the salesman) with the lip being 2.5 upfront and 3.5 in the rear. I love the look but I am worried that the width of the rim may make the Z look silly. There is a picture in the "wheel" gallery under "AXIS" of a silver Z with the wheels I want but I am unsure what size they are, anyone have an idea?
The place I am looking to buy the wheel/tire set is www.wheelstudio.com. Anyone do business w/ these people before?
Any help or comments would be aprreciated greatly.
