Call and cancel your front tires before it is too late, swap up to a nice set of 265/35-18 , better looks, less understeer, little taller (needed) height, all positives.

^ i agree with a 265+ front. but my car oversteers like crazy, even after realignment and kdw2's at 275. i may just have a heavy foot. and i will be putting that tire on the front soon but i need my 10" wheels first.

Clearance for akebono's on my 18x10 was good on the spokes however, not on the barrels, it seems to be wheel style dependant.
Excuse my horrible paint skills haha

I had to sand down a bit of the caliper to make them fit

terrasmak, I did do the change to 265/35/18 for my fronts, thanks for the advice! I currently am 245's front, 275's rear and it's felt fine, but I appreciate your suggestion and made the change.

I was at 158 (going to Vegas) a week ago and it was pulling nicely; could have been in mid 160's in a couple of seconds; was still climbing fast but that was enough for me that day; car was smooth as silk and straight as an arrow, it felt great at that speed. Been over 150 twice in last 10 days; yeah it's my daily driver! I like to "hit it" when the opportunity is there however. I had been there before bone stock, just was my first time on a real open road with the sc kit; was so easy to get there.

I stopped regularly driving over 100 a few years ago but it still happens, especially in the 300zx.

We don't have many places in this tiny state where you can get away with that on a good/safe surface (mostly because every police department is on a mission to stop that). I'd love to live out west where I could really open up the cars. I can see the point of under steer but as you pointed out, it's really only useful at very high speeds which most DD won't touch half of. So I still stand by my statement that increasing under steer makes daily driving more difficult.

Power adders + long straights = formula for shenanigans

that's cool. Wish you could come out and hit some open road! I'll be just fine with my new set up and sure look forward to getting it put on; hopefully end of this week. *I'm just curious how any possible under steer issues could cause any DD difficulty? I don't understand this unless the car is at the track or being put through it's paces, etc. Thanks, Randy

Really depends on the amount of under steer. I prefer very tight and responsive steering but then again, that really only matters when I hit the back roads. My commute to work involves two turns and four blocks.

^ Yeah I hear you on tight/responsive; we have a lot of nice canyons to drive with engine wrapped up the Z's like a bobsled, gets the heart rate up! This time of year in Utah there is a lot of remaining sand/grit from Winter snow plows and if you get to close to the sides in a tight corner you can get into that loose stuff, a little intense with a cliff a few feet away haha!

The guy from Vivid Racing (AZ) sent a couple of pics of my new Enkei RPF1's with the tires mounted/balanced; will ship tomorrow (Fri. 10th)!

Will look much better on the car, WetdreamsZZ has the same setup but silver on a red car. Slight drop, and it will be dam perfect

Thanks, yeah they look nice. I'll get some good pics of 'em mounted up! I think the Rays gunmetal lugnuts from the other set should work out well with these black wheels; bought those funky carbon fiber look center caps haha.

Yeah, I look forward to getting these on! Also widest tires I've ever had, plus widest front wheel (9.5"); tires are 265, 285 width. Assumed I'd get silver, but they had just recieved a shipment of blacks that day, so I went with them; they said that they can't keep these blacks in stock.
