Default Tire question. Advice?

Hey everyone,

I am currently on the stock rim setup (17x8.0 17x7.5). My friend is selling his practically brand new set of tires for a good price. My tires are worn and I would like to buy new ones so I figured this would be a great opportunity.

Would 245/50/17 in the rear and 235/50/17 in the front fit without any modifications? Would I experience any rubbing or any issues?

If I plan to get rims in the future, would getting 17x8 all around and using the the 245 in the rear and 235 in the front affect VDC?

Thanks

235/245 would likely be the upper limit of tire size that will fit on those rims. But regarding the performance, with the tall 50 sidewall, you may get some sidewall roll at those widths. Someone else on the forum may be able to advise further? Finally, if you get aftermarket rims, please go way bigger than 17x8. If you're going to spend the money, do it right, the Z can handle it and looks way better with the fenders filled. I'm on 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 with 265/30 and 295x30.

I would bet against those sizes working w/out VDC and rubbing issues. You could go 245/45-17 front and 255/45-17 rear.
