Suggestions on new tires for stock 17s
Looking to go a little wider than stock, maybe 235/45 front, 245/45 rear.
Live in sunny San Diego, so no need for all season.
Any and all thoughts greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Those sizes may be a little off. Check out this tire size calculator -

As for tires, Goodyear F1 GS-D3's have good reviews.

I'm running the Toyo Proxes 4 - 225/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear, and it dramatically change the way car handles!! I absolutely love it! and the tread wear are at 300, so the tires will definitely last me for quite a while. I'm planning to upgrade to some 19's soon, but will keep the 17's for winter use. If you looking for some inexpensive tires, and that has less tire wear and killer traction, you definitely need to check out the Proxes 4.
If I had the 17's, I'd get a set of Michelin Pilot A/S. They're good all year round and have an outstanding tread-wear rating. From what I've read, you don't saccrifice much performance (compared to regular Michelin Pilots) to get double the tread life. If the made them in stock size for the 18's, I'd definitely get them when it came time.
