space savers would help with gas mileage. I know when I used them I was getting almost 40mpg on the highway.

Fork lift tires! I don't know why I didn't think of this before! These are soft ply so your ride will be alittle nicer but they will last FOREVER!

this forum is funny...just because a topic has been covered before, doesnt mean its an open and shut case and "search" is gonna be the end all. New tires, with new tread patterns by all makers with new technology come out almost every single day. Personal experience and input is ever changing

I recommend Michelin pilot super sports. They are fairly new, replaced the ps2's and ive had lots of success with them. If its more of an all season performer your looking for id also check out the new yokohamas yk580...these are my DD's

I need some good sticky tires that are good when i launch but still give traction in rain. I doubt I will take it to the track anytime soon, I just daily drive it on the streets.

Sure, good tire. But what use is op after? Track? Street? Winter? Does he live in a hot or cold climate? Does it rain often there?

He may as well have asked what is the best solution for marital problems.

Too many variables, too little input regarding what he wants/needs

But thanks for being the killer of joy gabe.

I'd suggest these are the areas needing to be bolded.

You don't sound like you are after much performance or are going to be very picky. Be very open minded to Continental for something cheaper than almost all, but usually ranked pretty high, especially for wet handling. you should be reading reviews at the tire rack to get an idea of things like this. not posting the 100th thread about tires from such a small sample of owners and getting 10 responses. I wouldn't go by such a small sample of opinion anyway
good luck...

Your problem might be the suspension geometry and not the tires. Alignment might be out of wack.

Why do you need to "launch" on a public street?

In that case, try to do a R35 launch control swap. It will fix your traction issue and launch your car better on the street.
