Default Drifting on big wheels?

At the local track they have drift practice where u pay $40 to go mess around on the drift pad. I am by no means a great drifter but figured it would be the best place to get some practice. I have ap racing big brake kit and the smallest wheel I can put on is a 19. I've got 305/30/19 on the back. Was a little worried about with so little sidewall and large rim is there a chance of the tire folding over and the rim coming in contact with the ground? I'd really like to go play around but don't wanna wreck my nice wheels. If so I can wait and buy some cheaper wheels to do so.

What size rotor are you running , I can get 18's and some 17's over my 355mm rotors.

By the looks of it I may be able to get 18s. But would my 19s get ruined after one day of drifting on a skid pad?

are you running the 4 piston or 6 piston fronts? I ran a 18"F/19"R on my 4piston F/4piston R setup just fine but it'll depend on what wheel you choose.

I would download and print out their template and check it against any potential wheels you purchase.

Assuming your tires are inflated correctly I wouldnt worry too much about the sidewalls rolling over...

6 in the front and 4 in the rear. I've already got wheels so would like to avoid buying another at the moment. This will be my first time fitting the drift pad so it's not like a got another set lying around. But I'll keep my eye out for a cheaper set of 18s so I can swap them out when I go. Good idea. I could just make a template myself using the measurements. But for now just take them up to max pressure should do the trick. Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

Drifting on a flat surface you will not hit the wheel, maybe you could if you were stretching some 245's on your 10.5 inch wheel.

Grab some OEM 18's and mount 235/40 or 245/40 on them and drift away.
