Default 1 Piece vs. 3 Piece Wheels

Hey guys so I'm doing some searching for wide body wheels
With the fitment I want, most of my selection is going to be 3 piece wheels...
They look cool and all but I'm not too keen on the weight aspect of it.
The Volk te37 mark II carries the size I want and I know Volk is like known for their lightweight wheels but how do I know the weight?
Do I email them or something?
Most websites don't list the wheel weights 😐

But it looks like the 3 pieces out there like AIM or Avant Garde are pretty bling.
SSR and work look nice but they don't got the size/offset I want.

Any recommendations?

You can try to email Mackin Industries or possibly RavSpec (they are known for posting scale pictures of wheels they have in stock).

For the te37, usually 19 weights around 19-20lbs. For the 20s its around 20-22lbs.

Thats a ballpark so you have an idea of the weight. 2 or 3 piece usually weights about 10lbs more per size.

That's accurate for the larger TEs. Apparently, the TE37 MKII 15x10 is ~12 lbs

We have some 13x7s that only weigh 5.5lbs per wheel. Not 350z size, but still ridiculous. The wheel and hoosiers are 14lbs.. total.

3-piece wheels like the AG Forged are all completely custom made to order, so you'll be able to get custom widths/offsets and colors. Price point is usually higher, but they're fully forged and pretty much top of the line.

One piece wheels like the Volks are usually only available in predetermined offsets/finishes/widths. So it may be difficult to find a set in the exact specs you need for your custom widebody.

Forgestar wheels are a good middle ground as they're available with custom widths, offsets, and colors. And they come in super deep concave. Price point is very affordable usually under $2000/set
Great option if you're on a budget

They also started offering these custom 2 piece M14.2s in 18"!

The size I want from the mark II are
18x11 -30
18x12 -33

I would prefer the rear to be -40 but it's okay I don't need to be hella flush lol.

As for the wheel recommendations, what i care most about is weight.
I am prepared to pay $3400 for the Te37 mark II

Even if a 3 piece wheel is forged it will still be heavier right?

Are forgestars heavy? I think that and the te37 mark II are the only one piece options I have

The lightest WILL BE the te37, with that said, forgestar are decently light. If i recall correcylt, 18x9 weights 22lbs while the same for te37 is 18ish.

The 2-3piece, even forge will still be heavier. Most only forges the face and leaves the barrel cast, kinda pointless but thats what it is.

Evem fully forged all 3 pieces, they will still weight more than single forged piece.

SSR and work look nice but they don't got the size/offset I want.

Any recommendations?[/QUOTE]

ssr sp3 in 18 x 11 & 18 x 12 go to -32
ssr tf1 in 18 x 11 & 18 x 12 go to -45
ssr ms1 in 18 x 11 & 18 x 12 go to -32
ssr sp1 in 18 x 11 & 18 x 12 go to -32

they will be more than your $3400 budget
they don't display weight as there is too many options to do that , but in your price quote they can tell you weight

they are 3 piece but not the lightest

work will be same weight , same price , same offset give or take pending what model
